What is the eKH?
The Environmental Knowledge Hub (eKH) aims to build a virtual storehouse of information about the environment in the Asia and Pacific region. This UNEP ROAP-led initiative will work with partner institutions, networks, communities and individuals in the Asia and the Pacific Region to gather relevant knowledge and best practices for the Priority Areas of Works such as 4 core themes, 4 Clusters and 4 Nexus. The eKH helps disseminate such knowledge in a timely and efficient manner for the informed-decision making on the areas of assessment, policy development, planning, and implementation.
Objectives
- To provide a platform for knowledge sharing across diverse stakeholders,
- To facilitate communication, debate and discussion among various stakeholders
and
- To catalyze action towards sustainable development.
Vision
To become a decentralized knowledge network enhancing regional cooperation and
public participation in decision making and actions for environmental management
aimed at sustainable development.
