The donor response to the tsunami recovery effort has been unprecedented. However, to ensure that funds are spent wisely and in a manner that leverages the best possible result, updated information on the situation in the field is key. The tsunami has impacted more than 4000 km of coastline and the response required for recovery of ecosystems and restoration of livelihoods will be different for each site and circumstance. Nevertheless, sharing of lessons learned across the region will greatly enhance the success of each individual intervention. This searchable database details ongoing projects in the region related to coastal ecosystem management after the tsunami.
